Practical Driving Assessment
The Shire of Bruce Rock conducts practical driving assessment for vehicle classes up to MR once per month.
You can call the Shire Administration on 08 90611377 to reserve a space for you.
You will need to bring with you:
- Your learner's permit card or one form of primary identification and one form of secondary identification (one must include your signature. Refer to the website for more information);
- Your completed Log Book (if applicable). If you have used the Learn&Log app to complete all of your hours, please submit the electronic declaration of completion at least 24 hours prior to your PDA; and
- A licensed roadworthy vehicle of appropriate class. It is important to note that private C class vehicles must be fitted with a centrally mounted handbrake that the front passenger can operate if required.
Failure to meet any of the following requirements may result in the cancellation of your PDA:
Graduated Driver Training and Licensing (GDT&L) applicants must:
- Be 17 years of age or older at the time of the PDA;
- Have recorded a minimum of 50 hours of supervised driving in your Log Book, including five hours of night time driving. Car (C) class applicants 25 years of age and over are exempt from the Log Book requirement;
- Have successfully completed the relevant class specific Hazard Perception Test; and
- Have held your learner's permit for a minimum of six months.
Motorcycle (R-E) licence applicants (non GDT&L) must:
- Have held a WA learner's permit for a minimum of six months; and
- Have successfully completed a motorcycle specific HPT.
Moped (R-N) licence applicants must:
- Be 16 years of age or older at the time of the PDA; and
- Have successfully completed a motorcycle specific HPT.
Please do not be late for your appointment. Late arrivals may be cancelled and a further payment will be required to make another appointment. Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes prior to your assessment booking time. If you need to change or cancel your PDA you must give more than two full working days notice or you will be required to pay for another PDA.
The Department is not liable for any out of pocket expenses as a result of PDA changes.
